Liz Hodgson

Four Paws Instructor

Liz’s interest in dogs is life long. While at school, she worked a summer job helping out in a boarding kennels and later spent two years as a veterinary nurse in the mid-60s when the profession had just begun. Throughout her career, she has also worked in biological sciences intermittently over the years.

Previously, Liz owned a Cavalier King Charles and a Pug. While she taught them basic behavioural skills, she wanted to expand her knowledge. When she got Thomas, her Chocolate Labrador puppy, she joined Four Paws’ puppy class to ensure he was well behaved from the start. Since then, Thomas has achieved Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme.

Liz enjoys exploring activities with Thomas. Together, they have attended regular agility classes in the past, and she is currently training Thomas in scent work with Scentwork UK. Liz became an instructor at Four Paws to help others experience the joy of having a well behaved dog they can take anywhere while still having lots of fun.
