Dog trainer and Committee Member

Grahame Godby
Four Paws Lead Instructor and Four Paws Committee, Membership Secretary
Grahame began his journey in dog training in 2006 and has since guided numerous dogs through the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme, achieving levels from Bronze to Gold. He has also advanced dogs' obedience and behaviour beyond the Gold Award, aiming to equip owners with the skills and confidence to effectively manage and enjoy their dogs.
Residing in Oxford, Grahame shares his home with two White German Shepherds, Skeena and Kanti. His previous dogs, Zenzi, Chinook and Candie (German Shepherds), and Inca (a Golden Retriever), were all trained to the Gold standard of the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme. Together with his wife, Janie, they trained Zenzi, who not only completed the Gold Award but also participated in the Gold display team, representing The Kennel Club, at Crufts in 2014. Their dog Skeena, has achieved the Gold Award and has passed Level 5 of Scentwork UK. While Kanti has just started her training.
Grahame was 5 years old when his parents brought home a Corgi cross for him, which he grow up with into his teens. They then had a Scottie (Fudge) at home until Grahame married. He got his first German Shepherd (Miss Ellie) a couple of years after getting married. He has also had two other German Shepherds Libby and Apollo.
